Venpongal Mix from House of Fresh Millers is a traditional and 100% natural blend of soaked raw rice and moong dal. HOW TO PREPARE:
– In a pressure cooker, add one cup of freshmillers pongal mix, 4 cups of water, and 3 to 4 chopped green chilies. Cook in medium flame for 4 whistles.
– After pressure is released, mash the preparation using a ladle.
– With 2 tablespoons of ghee, fry the following ingredients: cumin seeds, asafoetida, salt, chopped ginger, and a pinch of curly leaves.
– now add the mashed preparation. To prevent lumps, mix it well and cook in medium flame for 5 minutes.
– Optionally add golden brown ghee roasted cashews as topping.
– Fresh, healthy and tasty venpongal is ready to serve
