HOW TO PREPARE:
– In a pressure cooker, add one cup of Freshmillers Pongal mix, four cups of water, and three to four chopped green chillies. Cook on medium flame for 4 whistles.
– After the pressure is released, smash the preparation with a ladle.
– Add the following ingredients (cumin seeds, asafoetida, salt, chopped ginger, and a pinch of curry leaves) to 2tbsp of ghee and fry them.
– Add mashed preparation. Mix it well to avoid lumps & cook in medium flame for 5 minutes.
– You can add golden brown ghee roasted cashews as a topping option.
– Fresh, healthy and tasty Pongal is ready to serve.
